Strategic event communications at UKREiiF

OUR WORK

STRATEGIC EVENT COMMUNICATIONS AT UKREiiF

OVERVIEW

Prologis attended UKREiiF to demonstrate how it enables long‑term, sustainable UK growth – not just by building sheds, but by deploying strategic capital, delivering nationally significant infrastructure and partnering with the public sector to unlock jobs, connectivity and innovation. Pearl Comms was appointed to turn this positioning into visible influence at the conference through a structured event communications strategy.

Working alongside Prologis and agency partner J2, Pearl Comms built a core narrative around three strands and ensured every panel, media opportunity, video and social post laddered back to this framework. The aim was depth over volume – targeted engagement with public sector partners, capital allocators and infrastructure stakeholders, backed by content and coverage that could be leveraged before, during and after UKREiiF.

THE CHALLENGES

UKREiiF brings together thousands of public sector leaders, investors and developers, creating a crowded environment where many organisations compete for attention and influence. Prologis needed a coherent story that would cut through, demonstrate its role as a strategic UK market enabler and support its relationships with priority partners, without fragmenting messaging across multiple appearances and channels.

There was also a practical challenge. With multiple panels, private events, media opportunities and content deliverables to be coordinated across Prologis, J2 and internal teams, this was not an easy logistical challenge. Thought leadership, advertorials, video and social content all needed to be aligned with the same core themes, while remaining flexible enough to respond to real‑time discussions at the conference.

THE SOLUTION

Pearl Comms started by defining core event communication aims and the three‑strand messaging framework, then built a phased plan across pre‑event, during‑ and post‑event activity. Pre‑event, the team created a full campaign plan, held in‑person planning with senior leadership, attended weekly project calls and developed media and panel target lists. Thought leadership for Regional Head, Paul Weston, was pitched, secured, drafted and published ahead of UKREiiF, supported by social content.

During the event, Pearl Comms attended multiple Prologis panels, provided detailed briefing notes and talking points, and coordinated talking‑head video shoots capturing spokespeople’s top takeaways. Social posts were drafted to support live coverage and panel presence. Post‑event, the team drafted and placed thought leadership articles for Paul Weston, Ian Romano and Simon Perks, created website blogs around key themes, and supported with editing talking‑head footage and social posts, ensuring all content aligned with the agreed messaging.

THE RESULT

Prologis left UKREiiF with a strong, consistent narrative embedded across panels, media, web content and social channels. The messaging framework helped spokespeople present a clear “Prologis Perspective” on UK growth, infrastructure and innovation, and ensured each appearance reinforced the same strategic story rather than isolated talking points.

Pre‑event thought leadership, advertorials and social posts built visibility ahead of the conference, while on‑site panel support and video capture provided rich material for follow‑up content. Post‑event placement of articles in outlets such as Place Midlands, logistics press and Estates Gazette, alongside Prologis Perspectives blogs and social amplification, extended UKREiiF’s impact well beyond three days and into ongoing investor, policy and national conversations.
