5 questions with Isabel, our Junior Creative
We caught up with the newest member of the Pearl Comms team, Junior Creative, Isabel, to get to know her a little better, both in and out of work.
What does the role of Junior Creative entail?
It’s quite a varied role, which is one of the things I really like about it. I’m involved in all things creative, including social media, content creation, graphic design, video and animation, as well as supporting on wider campaigns and client work. It’s nice to have such a varied role and get involved in lots of different projects.
What are your goals for the upcoming year?
I’m looking forward to getting hands-on in the world of communications, continuing to learn and improve my design skills, and getting to know our clients and their brands. I’m excited to bring some of my own creative ideas to the team too and support wherever I can.
Favourite task you’ve completed so far?
I’ve already had the opportunity to use my animation skills, creating a short motion graphics piece for one of our clients’ social media profiles. It’s been great bringing my animation background into the role and seeing how I can apply those skills to client work. I’m looking forward to doing more of it!
You’ve recently moved to Birmingham, what do you like about it so far?
It’s been a big change, having lived on an estate in the Lincolnshire Wolds for the past year for my previous role. I’m enjoying the change of pace, and definitely the food. I’ve already eaten at a few places that have been amazing! Most recently I tried Oak Ca Phe in Bearwood, which serves Vietnamese food. I had their rice bowl, and it was delicious.
Have you watched anything recently you’ve enjoyed?
I’ve recently watched The Other Bennet Sister on BBC iPlayer. I love anything Jane Austen, so I really enjoyed it. I thought it was a nice, easy watch and I’m looking forward to the Christmas special.
