Pearl Comms eyes further growth with major strategic hire
Our team is growing! Pearl Comms has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of a new Strategy Director.
Ant Bisseker, a stalwart of the Midlands business scene for over 25 years, has joined Pearl Comms to further strengthen the business’ client offerings, particularly in the areas of brand discovery, development and communications. Ant will also be helping to spearhead Pearl Comms’ ambitious new business drive.
After starting his career working with Trinity Mirror’s commercial division, Ant has worked with a range of the Midlands’ brightest and best businesses, including the CBSO, Marketing Birmingham (now West Midlands Growth Company), Lightbox, Orb, EU Automation and most recently, as Relationship Director at Barques.
The move to expand Pearl Comms’ senior leadership comes alongside a number of client wins, including a major rebrand and digital marketing brief for a leading property consultancy.
Ant Bisseker, strategy director at Pearl Comms, said: “I’ve closely watched Pearl Comms go from strength to strength over the years and it’s hugely exciting to have the opportunity to join such a forward-thinking and driven agency. Everyone in the business has a really clear idea of where they want to be, what they want to be known for and the role they play in getting there. The work that the team produces for clients is first-rate, I can tell they’re destined for big things and it’s a privilege to be playing my part in that.
“My brief as Strategy Director is wide, but it’s also one where I feel I can make a real impact. I’ll be looking to bring in new sector expertise to the team, in addition to Pearl’s core focuses on property and construction and professional services and I can’t wait to help shape and support the agency’s growth going forward.”
Alongside Ant’s appointment, we’ve bolstered the team with a number of further new hires, including Account Director and B2B PR specialist Georgie Clark and Account Executive, Harriet Raybould. Harriet joins the business after completing a summer internship and graduating the Pearl Comms Academy, a free, twice-yearly event held by the business, aimed at providing support and experience to those looking to break into comms and marketing careers.
Alia Al-Doori, managing director, Pearl Comms, said: “Ant has been a friend of Pearl for many years, so in many ways, this was a long time coming. As a business, we’re making some big moves and now is the perfect time to have someone with his skillset, expertise and strong industry reputation join our leadership team.
“Our client briefs are becoming increasingly varied, covering everything from more traditional PR and media relations, right through to branding, design, video and digital marketing. Ant brings something new to our business and I can’t wait to see the positive impact he will have as we gear up for 2026.”
