UKREiiF 2026: Pearl Comms in the thick of it
UKREiiF isn’t for the faint-hearted. It’s full on, with thousands of delegates, lots of walking, lots of talking, and even more coffee. It represents the UK’s most competitive real estate and infrastructure media landscape compressed into one city across a three day period. Reflecting on it now, it was one of those events that reminds you why this work matters.
Supporting clients at UKREiiF
This year, we arrived in Leeds as the comms engine behind a number of clients spanning the full conference programme. Supporting multiple organisations simultaneously across three days isn’t just a logistics challenge, it’s a test of trust. Clients put their reputations in your hands in a very public arena, and that’s not something we take lightly. From the global giants, to the local councils, to the multi-practice law firms, to the small but mighty OMBs, our remit covered it all.
Every morning started with a team brief, discussing whereabouts, logistics, bottlenecks and opportunities, very evening closed with a round-up, capturing what each client team did, the conversations that landed, and the themes bubbling up from the floor. Across the event, we message-trained fifteen to twenty spokespeople ahead of keynotes and panel sessions. Watching them walk into those rooms prepared and confident never gets old.
Earning coverage at UKREiiF
Securing media coverage at UKREiiF is genuinely hard. The room is packed with communications professionals all chasing down journalists. We secured multiple media interviews and multiple pieces of coverage. It doesn’t happen without preparation, strong relationships, and a relentless only seen by a strong PR pro.
Alongside earned media, we ran our own video interview programme on the ground to create content that our clients own. This ensures we’re making the most of all the event content, keeping it working long after the lanyards are tossed aside. There’s something very satisfying about leaving an event with evergreen content assets that will fill your future pipeline for some time.
Two teams, one unwavering standard
With the amount we got through at UKREiiF, you’d be forgiven for thinking that the whole team was there, but while the Pearl Comms ‘away team’ was on the ground in Leeds, the home team held the fort, keeping HQ running, clients outside of UKREiiF fully serviced, and nothing falling through the cracks. It’s easy to overlook the home team in the post-event write-up, but they’ve been just as much a part of this as everyone in Leeds.
Making time for new conversations
Between sessions, media briefings, and broadcast slots, we made space for something else equally important, having genuine conversations with new people. UKREiiF attracts serious decision-makers across real estate, infrastructure and investment space and We used that access thoughtfully, meeting with new prospects and building relationships we expect to carry well beyond the event itself.
We look forward to catching up with all of you now you’ve had a long weekend to rest.
Our comms take
UKREiiF 2026 reinforced something we already strong believe, the best communications work at events like this is done before you arrive. The relationships, the message training, the content strategy, that’s the foundation and that’s where the hard work really is. When you’re there, you’re executing, and this year, we executed well, had a lot of fun doing it, and came home with a lot to build on and a lot of content for our clients.
Leeds, until next year.
