SPECIAL REPORTS
DESIGN

We edited and designed a 300-plus page Force Management Statement (a requirement by HMICFRS), intended to be available to both internal and external audiences. This document required the skills of our design team, all trained in the full Adobe suite, as well as high level editorial skills and proofreading.

The team ensured a high standard of editorial and quality control through our rigorous internal process which includes a chain of approvals from the senior leadership team and close collaboration to ensure all required information was provided. This meant that the force could trust the outputs were of a high standard, without typos or factual errors.

Alongside adhering to the force’s own accessibility standards around ease of translation, as the Statement is a publicly available, corporate document, we ensured that colour contrasts were accessible in the design, any images in the digital version had alt text and that diagrams and charts had clear explanations. The quality was made to be high enough to allow 300% zoom.

Pearl supported Staffordshire Police with its change communications during a period of substantial change for the force. The Pearl team spent time building relationships across the organisation which enabled them to ensure change was effectively embedded and understood by key stakeholders. From developing strategic communication plans, delivering training and day-to-day comms delivery, the service provided by Nick, Alia and Meghan was excellent and I would highly recommend them.
