Birmingham PR agency’s charity partnership blooms into its fourth year
Award winning Birmingham PR and communications agency, Pearl Comms, is entering its fourth year supporting gardening for health charity, Thrive, as official charity partners.
The partnership has provided the charity with flexible pro-bono services from the hands of Pearl Comms’ highly skilled and experienced team. This has included media and communications support, brand, design and messaging work, and focus-specific training sessions with members of the Thrive team.
Thrive has been helping people with ill health and disabilities to improve their health and wellbeing through gardening for over 40 years. Using a practice called social and therapeutic horticulture (STH), trained practitioners tailor gardening activities to people’s needs and goals to improve an individual’s physical, mental and social health.
Pearl Comms, based at Alpha Tower, specialises in impactful PR and communications services for clients across the country. Having worked with a number of legal and professional services firms, property and construction leaders, and interior design specialists, Thrive brings a new string to the agency’s ever-expanding bow.
To fully understand the importance of Thrive’s mission, the agency has visited their local centre at the Birmingham gardens in Kings Heath Park on multiple occasions, supporting the charity with practical on-the-ground work.
Alia Al-Doori, Managing Director at Pearl Comms, said: “We might be supporting clients on a global scale, but we’re proudly based in Birmingham, so working with a local charity is a natural fit for us. After three fantastic years supporting Thrive, it was easy to say yes to another year.
“I feel very proud to be running a business that’s able to give its services back to those who do so much to help our city. The work Thrive does benefits so many people’s lives – they are a joy to work with and I can’t deny the fact that my team absolutely love their days in the Thrive gardens too.”
Sally Wright, Head of Marketing and Engagement at Thrive, said: “We’ve grown to know the Pearl Comms team so well over recent years – both through their brilliant commercial support, and by welcoming them to the gardens to get all hands on deck.
“The knowledge and work they have provided us with so far has been second to none. I speak for the whole team when I say we can’t wait to see what the next 12 months have in store.”
